The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services manages the Community Health Plan, a publicly operated, state Knox-Keene licensed health care plan and federally-qualified Health Maintenance Organization. CHP currently provides health care coverage for individuals and families through the Plan's Medi-Cal Managed Care Program. The Healthy Families Program is available for children up to their 19th birthday. The Plan also has two commercial product lines. It provides health care coverage for In-Home Supportive Services workers through the PASC-SEIU Homecare Workers Health Care Plan, and coverage for eligible Los Angeles County Temporary Employees Program.
